QRUpp is a trading name of Web Upp Limited, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 13581536).
This policy applies to purchases made directly from QRUpp for access to our digital services (QR code generation, dynamic redirects, AI-generated QR codes, and related features).
1. Summary
- For consumer customers (B2C), a statutory 14-day right to cancel applies to distance purchases, subject to the exceptions for digital content/services outlined below.
- For business customers (B2B), cancellations and refunds are governed by this Policy and our Terms of Service.
- Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Where refunds are due, they are paid to the original payment method.
2. Digital Services & Early Access Waiver
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, your 14-day right to cancel for digital content or digital services may be lost once you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel when the service begins.
By starting to use QRUpp immediately (e.g., generating QR codes, creating shortened URLs, calling the API, or using AI generation), you acknowledge that performance has begun and that the statutory right to cancel may no longer apply to that initial period. This does not affect your ability to cancel an ongoing subscription for future periods (see Section 4).
3. Cooling-Off (Consumers)
If you have not begun using the Services and you are a consumer, you may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. To exercise this right, contact us at billing@qrupp.com with your order details. If any service usage has occurred during the cooling-off period (because you consented to immediate access), we may deduct a reasonable proportion reflecting the services provided up to cancellation.
4. Subscriptions, Upgrades & Downgrades
- Cancelling: You can cancel at any time via your account or by emailing billing@qrupp.com. Your plan remains active until the end of the current paid term; no further charges will occur.
- Refunds: We generally do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time within a billing period once service has begun, unless required by law.
- Upgrades: If you upgrade, we may charge a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle.
- Downgrades: Changes take effect at the next renewal unless otherwise stated.
5. AI-Generated QR Services
AI outputs are algorithmic and non-deterministic. Style, scannability, or aesthetic outcomes are not guaranteed. Charges associated with AI generation are not refundable once processing has begun, except where required by law or where a verified technical fault on our side prevented delivery.
6. Service Interruptions & Technical Failures
We strive for high availability. If a verified outage or defect materially prevents you from using paid features for a significant portion of a billing period, please contact us. Remedies may include prorated credit or an extension of service time at our discretion, as set out in our Terms of Service.
7. Billing Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, notify us within 30 days of the charge at billing@qrupp.com with relevant details (date, amount, transaction ID). We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution.
8. How to Cancel
- Sign in to your QRUpp account and navigate to Billing & Plans to cancel; or
- Email billing@qrupp.com from your registered email address with: account email, plan name, and desired cancellation date.
9. Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing times vary by provider (typically 5–10 business days). We are not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment processors.
10. Business Customers (B2B)
For business accounts, cancellations and refunds are governed by this Policy and our Terms of Service. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, subscriptions are non-refundable once service has commenced for the billing period.
