Terms of Service for QRUpp, a trading name of Web Upp Limited. Covers static and dynamic QR codes, AI-generated QR codes, URL shortening, API use, acceptable use, and fair usage.

QRUpp (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a trading name of Web Upp Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 13581536), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the QRUpp website, platform, and associated tools (the “Services”), including:

  • Static and dynamic QR code generation
  • AI-generated QR codes
  • URL shortening and redirect management
  • Public and private API endpoints

By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Eligibility and Account

  1. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
  2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
  3. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

2. Permitted Use

  1. You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  2. You must not use the Services to:
    • Create, host, or distribute malicious, deceptive, or illegal content (including malware, phishing, or scams);
    • Generate or shorten links that lead to prohibited, adult, or infringing content;
    • Impersonate any person or organisation or misrepresent your affiliation;
    • Exploit vulnerabilities, bypass rate limits, or interfere with normal operation.
  3. You are solely responsible for all content and destinations linked via your QR codes and shortened URLs.

3. Service Features

  1. Static QR Codes — Contain fixed information that cannot be changed after generation.
  2. Dynamic QR Codes — Redirect to a modifiable destination URL or resource.
  3. AI-Generated QR Codes — Stylised or AI-enhanced codes produced using automated models. Visual results may vary and cannot be guaranteed to be scannable on all devices.
  4. URL Shortening — Provides short redirect links to your chosen destinations.
  5. APIs — Allow programmatic access to certain QRUpp functions, subject to Section 8.

We may introduce or retire features, apply usage limits, or adjust functionality to maintain system stability.

4. Intellectual Property

  1. You retain ownership of content, data, and URLs you provide.
  2. By using the Services, you grant QRUpp a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, and display that content solely for operating the Services.
  3. All software, designs, and trademarks of QRUpp and Web Upp Limited are protected by law. You may not reproduce or distribute them without written permission.

5. Data and Privacy

  1. QRUpp collects limited technical and analytics data to operate the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  2. Dynamic QR codes and shortened URLs may record metadata such as timestamp, device type, browser, and approximate location.
  3. QRUpp does not monitor linked destinations except to enforce these Terms or comply with legal obligations.

6. Availability and Support

  1. We aim to provide continuous service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  2. Scheduled maintenance or technical updates may cause temporary interruptions.
  3. Support is available by email during UK business hours.

7. Fees and Payments

  1. Prices, plans, and billing terms are listed on our Pricing page and form part of these Terms.
  2. All charges are exclusive of applicable taxes.
  3. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law.
  4. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Termination

  1. You may stop using the Services at any time.
  2. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, your use poses a security or operational risk, or we discontinue the Services.
  3. Upon termination, dynamic QR redirects and shortened URLs may be disabled, and your data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

9. Disclaimers

  1. The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty.
  2. We do not guarantee that any QR code or shortened link will function on all devices or remain continuously accessible.
  3. AI-generated QR codes are experimental and may not always produce reliable or scannable results.
  4. QRUpp shall not be responsible for losses or damages resulting from misuse, downtime, or unauthorised access.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QRUpp and Web Upp Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from the use or inability to use the Services. Our total liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amount you paid to QRUpp (if any) during that period.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Web Upp Limited, QRUpp, its directors, and affiliates from any claim, loss, or liability arising from your use of the Services, the content you generate or distribute, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the latest version. Material changes will be announced via the website or email. Continued use of the Services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
